AN EFIT has been released in the police hunt for a man who targeted a Southampton pensioner in a distraction burglary.
Police say the "'very well presented man" was allowed into the house after claiming he needed access to the homeowner's back garden to check some trees.
But after getting into the 75-year-old woman's property, he stole £80 from her purse.
Police say the incident happened on Monday 12 November at a house on Cateran Close, Millbrook.
Officers say the man made off in a white van which had been parked on Oakley Road.
He was described as being 'very well presented' and stood around 5’ 4” inches tall.
He wearing a grey jumper and cream coloured trousers which were clean and pressed.
