NOVEMBER is approaching its end for this year, which means Movember is too.
Men have been growing moustaches and beards since the first day of the month, in aid of raising awareness and funds for men’s health.
Hundreds of runners took to Southampton Common on Sunday morning to take part in either 1.5k, 5k or 10k MoRuns.
Many took part in fancy dress, and some female competitors wore stuck-on moustaches to show their support for the Movember Foundation.
Dave Krangel, the founder of MoRunning, said: “We have now reached the halfway point of our 22 MoRun events throughout the month of Movember. Six events last weekend and a further seven MoRuns across six regions this weekend.
“The turnout from both runners and supporters has been amazing to see. Everyone here is raising awareness and funds for men’s health, which is at the heart of MoRunning.”
MoRunning has been working in partnership with the Movember Foundation since 2010, and has raised nearly £1m to help address some of the biggest health issues faced by men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
MoRunning will host a total of 22 MoRunning events throughout the month of ‘Movember’.
