WITH Black Friday fast approaching, we asked shoppers in Southampton City Centre for their thoughts on the international sale event taking place this Friday.
Ben Gruber, 25, a call centre operator from Hythe said: "I think I will go and I'd like to get myself a beard trimmer because it needs the care and attention. I wish there were more Black Fridays instead of just one, I think that would be good."
Kalvin Gregory, 22, a nightclub promoter from St Marys said: "I feel like Black Friday is a bit of a con because they are still making lots of profits from it, which is fine. I think some items are good value but it's all useless stuff to me."
India Grace, 18, an escape room hostess from Upper Shirley said: "I think it's a bit dumb. I wouldn't go into town to do my shopping because it looks crazy but I will probably have a look online and see if there are any good deals going on some stuff I need."
Dan Bennison, 19, a university student from Southampton said: "I think it's a good event really. I want to go and to get a TV for my dorm room at uni because I don't have one at the moment."
