A GOSPORT pub has been evacuated after a smoke scare in the building.
The smoke came from the roof of the White Hart pub, Gosport.
A light fitting was smoking in the roof of the Greene King pub.
A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said: "We received the call at 1.57pm, and two crews from Gosport and one from Fareham were on the scene.
"Our crews inspected and isolated the light fitting, and stayed to hand out safety advice.
"An electrician and alarm company have been called."
The crews left the scene at around 3.30pm.
A Greene King spokesman said: "There was smoke in the building, and no one was hurt.
"The cause is currently unknown but the pub was evacuated.
Once the electrician and alarm company have left the scene the pub will open again as normal.
