REGARDING the vandals who sprayed goats purple (Echo, November 21).
I find the attitude odd here. Frequently we dress up and colour-die animals. I have often seen coloured dogs in the street with their proud owners.
Indeed at tupping the rams are coloured with sticky paint and, if successful, all the ewes end up various colours which denote which ram or when served.
The right attitude and the two adults would not be traumatised but enjoy the colour of this heinous crime that the the police are trying to solve.
The culprits may well have committed a crime but since the police are lowering their efforts on many crimes, spending time on this where not a jot of harm is done seems ludicrous. With the right attitude, it could be considered funny. .
For so-called country folk or living in the country, I question: what next!
