The team from local home care company, Home Instead Senior Care, has launched a gift giving scheme for Southampton Women’s Aid running from November through to December.
Home Instead has asked its caregivers to donate presents for the women and children living in the refuge to help bring some Christmas cheer to them.
Already the response has been heart-warming, and news has spread far beyond the care company itself.
Luisa Castle, co-owner and managing director of Home Instead Southampton, said: “We are really delighted to be running this gift giving campaign this year.
"Being able to deliver gifts to people who are in a vulnerable and in daunting situations, and see the difference we have made to their day, is truly an honour. It is nice to be able to show people that we care about them.
“If anyone locally would like to contribute, please do get in touch or simply drop off your donations at our office.
"We’re donating toys and books for the children, and bathroom goodies as well as lots of other gifts for the women. Any donations welcome!”
Home Instead Senior Care specialises in providing older people with non-medical care, including supporting people living with dementia; enabling them to remain living independently in their own homes.
