AN inquest has opened into the death of a Southampton man.
Winchester Coroner’s Court heard 29-year-old Joel Burns died at Southampton General Hospital on December 2.
Mr Burns, of Wilton Road, Shirley, was admitted to hospital by ambulance earlier that day, but no details regarding why were given at the hearing.
Pathologist Dr Vipul Foria said he was awaiting toxicology results before giving a preliminary cause of death.
Senior coroner Grahame Short adjourned the hearing for a full inquest on May 22, 2019.
