SANTA CLAUS came to Southampton, when staff from University Hospital Southampton’s baby and children’s ward took a surprise delivery of baby and children’s skincare goodies - delivered with the help of the Childs Farm elves.

The Christmas delivery came courtesy of baby and child toiletries brand Childs Farm.

On a mission to spread the festive cheer this month, the brand’s little helpers have been visiting the UK’s hospitals and children’s hospices, armed with hundreds of boxes of toiletries for those who can’t be at home at this special time of year.

Judith Stephens, Community and Events Fundraising Manager on behalf of University Hospital Southampton, said: “Receiving a gift, especially at this time of year, can make a huge difference to those who might not be able to spend Christmas at home.

“We are so grateful for Childs Farm’s generous donations.”

Childs Farm was set up in 2010 by entrepreneur Joanna Jensen as a solution for her own two daughters’ sensitive skin and fly-away hair.

Upon completing their travels, the team will have given nearly 8,000 gifts to more than 100 hospitals and hospices in 80 locations across the country.

Childs Farm founder Joanna Jensen said: “University Hospital Southampton carries out some incredible work and this level of dedication doesn’t stop just because it’s Christmas time. We wanted to do something to put a smile on everyone’s faces and we were delighted to pay the hospital a visit to make this Christmas mission happen. At Childs Farm, we believe that no child should be left out, and particularly at such a special time of year. We’re hoping to give the gift of making bath time a little more fun for everyone this Christmas.”
