A MAN who disappeared during yesterday's bad weather has been found safe and well.

Police launched an urgent appeal yesterday after Titchfield man Simon Creese disappeared.

The 45-year-old was last seen leaving his home in Bedford Drive at around 1am yesterday morning.

Officers said he left on foot, without his phone or any money and in unsuitable clothing for today's bad weather.

Described as white, 6ft tall and of medium build, with cropped, thick grey hair and a greying beard, officers say Mr Creese was found in Warsash last night.

As previously reported, Hillhead Coastguard said yesterday while the search was ongoing: "It’s very poor weather here today, especially the exposed coastal areas near where he was last seen. Dog walkers on the Chilling Path please keep a sharp eye out up there too."
