THOUSANDS of job hunters are due to visit a free recruitment event in Southampton tomorrow which showcases scores of jobs and careers.

Almost 60 organisations representing a variety of industry sectors were ready and waiting to meet them at the city's Guildhall.

JobServe Live!, an event backed by the Daily Echo, is open from 10.30am to 7pm giving employers, training providers, educational establishments and advisory groups an intense day's recruitment or enrolment.

Opportunities The roadshow, now in its ninth year, offers numerous recruitment, careers, training and education opportunities as well as CV, career and business start-up advice for budding entrepreneurs.

Free entry and free advice clinics will be delivered by experts from more than 25 industry sectors.

Top local, regional and national names such as ExxonMobil, British Gas, the Royal Navy, Denplan, Carnival, Southampton Football Club, the NHS, Hampshire police, Southampton City Council and the Southern Daily Echo will have career changers, jobseekers, school, college and university leavers, young and seasoned professionals flocking to the one-day event.

Visitors can expect to find a lively, interactive and informative event which combines professional recruitment and enrolment with a friendly and fun atmosphere.

Luke Fishlock, exhibitions manager for organiser Job Serve Events Ltd, told the Daily Echo: "Our visitor volume has increased each year. We are always impressed with how serious and prepared visitors are. They come well presented with CV in hand and use the event very effectively.
