A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a crash on a Hampshire road.

Police say a man died at the scene of the crash on the B3400 at Hurstbourne Priors - between Andover and Whitchurch.

It involved a crash and a motorcycle and took place around 5.40pm yesterday (December 22).

The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man from Andover, died in the collision.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the Ford Focus, a man, and his female passenger, suffered minor injuries and have been taken to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.

The road is expected to be closed in both directions between Hurstbourne Priors and the Picket Twenty roundabout, until around 11pm today as we continue our investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision.
