Scenic views of the Solent feature in a Hampshire ferry firm's new charity calendar now on sale.
Wightlink staff contributed their best photographs of ships and shore facilities, reflecting all three routes: Portsmouth-Fishbourne, Lymington-Yarmouth and Portsmouth Harbour-Ryde Pier Head.
The firm's new £30million flagship Victoria of Wight features in several pictures, others include views of the US Navy’s aircraft carrier Harry S Truman moored off Gosport, Gunwharf Quays and Camber Dock in Portsmouth and the Lymington estuary.
“Our colleagues are out and about around the Solent in all seasons and have taken some amazing photographs of our ships and ports,” says Chief Executive Keith Greenfield. “These desk calendars would be a great stocking filler. They only cost £2 and all proceeds will go to charity.”
This year, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the chosen charity. The RNLI was nominated by Patrick Hughes in Wightlink’s IT department – his striking image of Victoria of Wight leaving Portsmouth on a sunny day can be seen on the cover.
The calendar is on sale at the ferry ports and on board Wightlink ferries.
