A 21-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear in court charged with drink driving.
Jacob Harry Walsh, of St Francis Avenue, will appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on January 29 charged with driving a car while above the legal limit of alcohol.
The charge follows a collision between a Renault Clio and a blue Nissan Juke on Thornhill Park Road on Christmas Day.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “We were called at 6.30pm on Tuesday 25 December to a report of a two vehicle collision on the corner of Thornhill Park Road and Pine Drive.
“A black Renault Clio collided with a blue Nissan Juke.
“The driver of the Clio was arrested near the scene on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when above the legal limit of alcohol.”
