A HUSBAND and wife team from Wickham has launched a premium baby toiletries brand.

Robbie and Caroline Mukherjee combined their experience, including a 20-year career in the family brands industry, to create baby skincare and bath time range called Baby Kingdom.

The products are manufactured and formulated in the UK and designed to assist in protecting and improving skin and hair.

Robbie and Caroline insist Baby Kingdom is designed to be a ‘luxurious, effective and safe collection’ that parents can trust putting on their new-born babies and toddlers’.

The products are dermatologically tested, hypo-allergenic, vegan-friendly, 100 per cent recyclable and suitable for sensitive skin.

Caroline, 41, said: "We are very excited about launching Baby Kingdom to the UK and global market.

"We appreciate, when choosing baby products, a parent’s first priority is safety; a safe product which they can trust.

"As parents ourselves we are passionate about using safe, natural and organic ingredients, and keeping the brand as clean as possible.

"The ethos of our brand is based in ‘babies smelling like babies’ and this has been carefully considered when hand-picking a gentle fragrance.

"Whilst Baby Kingdom products are not a prescription medicine, parents may find them useful when treating symptoms such as cradle cap, eczema, psoriasis, sunburn, nappy rash and dermatitis."

The couple were determined to use top-of-the-range ingredients and when they started working on their formula with a Devon-based laboratory, they were met with surprise.

Caroline said: "The lab creating our gentle formula actually contacted us to say, do you realise these ingredients are the very best and the end result will not be cheap?

"But we were all agreed that we wanted to use only the best for a baby’s sensitive skin."

The premium Baby Kingdom range includes a luxury baby shampoo, two-in-one hair and body wash, body cream, talc-free baby powder and nappy cream.

Robbie and Caroline recently returned from a trade event launching Baby Kingdom in Hong Kong.

Robbie, 51, said: “We received an overwhelmingly positive response.

"Distributors told the team that they loved the British roots of the brand as well as the luxurious look and feel of the Baby Kingdom collection.

"The fact that the product formulas include only the very best, natural ingredients is of high importance to the international market and we were thrilled to come away from the event with relationships developed with several new key distributors."
