POLICE are investigating after £1500 worth of tools were stolen from a van.

The kit was taken from the Ford Transit on Holly Hatch Road in Totton just after midnight on January 5.

Owner of the van Brett Dawson has appealed for help - and said three men with hoods and baseball caps were captured on CCTV breaking into his van. Taking to social media to appeal for witnesses he said: "In the CCTV they walk off in the direction of McColls with the tools. If anyone happens to have seen anything or anyone in the area around that time or have any additional CCTV that can be checked please can you let me know."

Hampshire police said: "We are investigating after a van was broken into in Totton.

"In the early hours of 5 January, approximately £1500 worth of tools were stolen from the Ford Transit Van on Holly Hatch Road.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44190006451."
