POLICE are continuing to probe the crash which led to the death of a Southampton pensioner earlier this month.
As reported, officers were called to reports of a two-car crash in Horton Road, Ashley Heath at 3.35pm on January 5.
The collision involved a white Volvo V60 and a blue Citroen C4.
The driver of the Volvo β a 78-year-old woman from Southampton - was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. Despite the efforts of doctors, she died later that evening.
The four occupants of the Citroen were taken to the hospital as a precaution but have since been discharged.
A police spokesperson from said: βThe investigation into the circumstances remains ongoing and we continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it and have not yet spoken to officers to please come forward.β To speak to police, call 101 quoting 55190002439.
