TEACHERS and staff at a Chandler’s Ford school are celebrating after receiving a prestigious award.
St Francis CoE Primary School was recognised with the Artsmark Award, given out by Arts Council England’s for schools that champion the arts and strive for excellence.
As an Artsmark school, St Francis has now been given access to networks and resources from cultural organisations around the country to strengthen their arts provision.
Head teacher Esther Jones said: “We are committed to delivering a high quality art and cultural education and we look forward to continue to grow with Artsmark.”
Darren Henley, chief executive of Arts Council England, added: “I would like to congratulate St Francis CoE Primary School on their Artsmark Award.”
