THOUSANDS of pounds have been raised in support of good causes.
The Romsey, Chandler’s Ford & District Round Table has confirmed to have raised more than £10,000 in support of local charities throughout 2018.
The money was raised through a series of activities including the tour of Father Christmas in December.
As previously reported, thousands of people had the treat before Christmas of having Santa visit them on their doorstep.
Round Table chairman Nick Hawkins said: “It is a huge source of pride to all in Round Table that, through our efforts and the generosity of local people, we have more than £10,000 to give away to local good causes. It has been a fantastic job by everybody involved, and a great team effort as always.”
Last year several good causes were supported with grants made of between £250 to £600.
