A 16-YEAR-OLD girl who founded her own lighting design company will work with chart-toppers Take That on their UK arena tour this year.
Brockenhurst College student Rosie White already has experience working with top names including 80s pop icon Rick Astley, Heaven 17, and Scottish duo The Proclaimers. She is due to work back stage with Take That when they tour in the summer, which includes May 25 and 26 at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium.
Rosie, from New Milton, is studying Vocational Production Arts at the New Forest college and founded a freelance firm called Rosie’s Lights last year. She has already provided lighting design services for a variety of concerts, awards evenings and charity events.
Last November Rosie joined the crew working on the Rick Astley Beautiful Life tour as part of an industry initiative to get more women working in the performance technology sector.
Rosie said: “My teachers have been very supportive in helping me balance work and study. I love what I do and after finishing my course I hope to progress in the industry.”
