A CONVENIENCE store has been cordoned off by police this morning after a knifepoint robbery.
Officers were called to the One Stop shop at the corner Somerset Avenue and Exford Avenue in Harefield, Southampton, at 6.16am today.
Hampshire Constabulary say that two people entered the store with a knife and threatened staff, before stealing cigarettes and the contents of the till.
They were then seen leaving in a dark-coloured hatchback car.
No-one has been arrested.
A resident wrote on social media: "One Stop on Somerset Ave currently has police cars and police tape surrounding it.
"My guess would be it's not open and won't be for a while."
The Daily Echo has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for more information.
Witnesses can call police on 101.
