THE trial of a man accused of murdering a 26-year-old from Chandler's Ford has got under way.
Ben Harvey, 21, of Ridges View, Little London, is appearing at Winchester Crown Court today, accused of killing William Rudiak after he was discovered at a home in Turin Court on June 11, last year.
Emergency services rushed to an incident at 3.11am but Mr Rudiak, of Winchester Road, Chandler’s Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Hampshire police earlier confirmed that following a post-mortem examination Mr Rudiak had died from a single stab wound.
Mr Harvey also faces charges of aggravated burglary, and trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence after police also investigated reports an attack on a young woman in Little London on the same day.
The trial is expected to last seven days.
