MANY stargazers turned their eyes to the skies on Monday morning.

But none captured the super blood wolf moon in such a spectacular fashion as Daily Echo Camera Club member Lauren McIntyre.

Her planning began in July 2018, and after scouting out an ideal photography spot near her nan's house in West End, Lauren set up on her driveway from 3am until 7am.

She used a Nikon D750 camera and Sigma 150-600 lens, mounted on a tripod.

Lauren said: "There were a couple of times I thought I was going to miss out as clouds rolled in, but luckily they moved through fast and I was able to capture each phase.

"Then it was just a case of compiling them all into one image, which sounds simple but did take about two hours to get everything aligned and looking good."
