Scottish and Southern Energy engineers were alerted to a fault on the low voltage network which serves Sholing, at 7pm on Thursday.
The fault affected 43 homes in Spring Road, Spring Close, South East Road, and surrounding areas of Sholing.
SSE engineers attended the site and replaced a fuse at the local substation to repair the fault.
All customers had their supplies restored by 8.15pm.
A spokesperson from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said: "We would like to thank our customers for their patience as our engineers worked to restore their power as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused by the interruption to power supplies Thursday evening."
