AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a Hampshire pensioner.
Winchester Coroner’s Court heard Barry Summers, of Lambourne Road, West End, died in hospital after suffering a fall.
Mr Summers, 77, was rushed to Southampton General Hospital on January 20, but died the next day.
Pathologist Prof James Nicoll gave a preliminary cause of death as head injuries.
Senior coroner Grahame Short adjourned the inquest to June 11.
