A HAMPSHIRE man has been banned from the road after being caught drug driving.
Luke Jaxon James was caught driving his Volkswagen Golf with more than seven micrograms of THC per litre of blood.
The 38-year-old, of Hamble Road, Gosport, admitted the offence when he appeared before magistrates sitting in Poole, Dorset.
It was said to have happened in Hame Lane, Ferndown, in November 2017.
James also admitted driving a vehicle with more than 800 micrograms of amphetamine per litre of blood.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody on March 29 last year.
Magistrates gave him a community order that he must comply with a rehabilitation activity a
maximum of 20 days and carry out 50 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
He was also banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay an £85 surcharge, and £200 costs.
