STRONG winds and rainy conditions have caused Red Funnel services to be cancelled.
Red Jet services between Southampton and West Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, have been cancelled until further notice.
A spokesperson for Red Funnel said: "Adverse wind conditions coupled with the direction of the tide has resulted in significant wave heights across the Solent.
"At this time, the 6.15pm sailing from Southampton to West Cowes and the 6.15pm and 6.45pm sailings from West Cowes to Southampton have been cancelled until further notice.
"Customers are strongly advised to check Red Funnel's service status."
The service will be reviewing conditions hourly, until they deem it safe to return to operation.
No cancellations have been made to vehicle ferry service between Southampton and East Cowes, but there are some delays due to the weather conditions.
