THE girlfriend of Saints and England player Ryan Bertrand has been robbed after a night out in London.

Mari Burch, a model in her late 20s, was targeted by two men after returning to the couple's home in Cobham, Surrey, in the early hours of yesterday.

They are thought to have followed Ms Burch's taxi before approaching her and grabbing her Rolex watch.

Daily Echo:

She is said to have been shaken up by the incident but was not injured.

Bertrand, who had played for Saints against Cardiff the previous afternoon, is reported to have been inside the couple's home with their two children when the robbery occurred.

She and Burch are often pictured on the player's Instagram account during holidays abroad. The footballer once referred to her as Superwoman.

The couple and their children live near the training ground of his former club, Chelsea. It is not thought the robbers knew of Ms Burch's connection to the footballer.

A Surrey police spokesman said: "An investigation is under way after a woman was robbed in Cobham yesterday morning.

"The woman was getting out of a taxi around 5.45am in Eaton Park Road when she was approached by two men who grabbed a watch from her arm.

"She is receiving appropriate support from officers.

"No arrests have been made at this stage but a number of enquiries have been carried out at the investigation remains ongoing."
