POLICE have now arrested three males in connection with a robbery in Totton.

McColl's on Longstock Crescent was robbed at around 6.15am on Monday in which cash and cigarettes were stolen.

On Thursday, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy from Southampton on suspicion of robbery and a 21-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Detectives have since arrested another person in connection with the robbery, a second 21-year-old man from Southampton.

All three men remain in police custody at this time.

It was reported that four males entered the store and threatened staff before stealing cash and cigarettes on Monday.

Officers later discovered a a bag containing cigarettes that had been stolen from the store.

It follows the arrest of a 15-year-old boy from Southampton on Tuesday in connection with the McColl's robbery.

He was later charged with the robbery along with six other offences.

The teenager was also charged four accounts burglary including attempted burglary with intent to steal at the Premier Store in Viney Avenue, Romsey, on Monday 11 February; burglary dwelling and theft at an address in Beaulieu Close, Southampton, on Monday 11 February; burglary dwelling and theft at an address in Colebrook Avenue, Southampton, on Monday 11 February; aggravated burglary at an address in Riverside Gardens on Wednesday 24 October, 2018.

He was also charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent in Southampton on Wednesday 9 January; and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent in Southampton on Tuesday 23 October, 2018.
