AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a Southampton man following a “fall into water”.
Winchester Coroner’s Court heard that Brendan Neville, of Rollesbrook Gardens, The Polygon, had been rushed to hospital on February 8, but died later the same day.
Pathologist Dr Jeffrey Theaker gave a preliminary cause of death for the 39-year-old as multiple injuries as a result of a fall into water.
No further details concerning Mr Neville’s death were aired during the short hearing yesterday.
Assistant coroner Samantha Marsh adjourned the inquest to August 12.
