THE ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy will be coming to Southampton city centre this weekend.

The public will be able to have their photos taken with the trophy when it visits Guildhall Square on Sunday between 9.30am and 11.30am.

The trophy is on a 100-day tour of the UK to promote the World Cup which takes in England this summer.

Cricket activities will also take place in the square during the trophy’s visit, giving those who may not have played before the opportunity to get involved and promote the upcoming World Cup games at the Ageas Bowl.

Hampshire’s ground will host five matches during the tournament including England’s clash with the West Indies on June 14.
