A FAMILY has been left “devastated” after their beloved dog was stolen from a car in Southampton.

Eight-year-old Bisto, a collie cross, was taken from a parked car outside of Southampton library.

It has been reported that at 12.30pm a man in black jacket, black jeans and black and white shoes took the dog from the car. at 12.20pm on Tuesday.

Bisto’s owner Emma Moore-Morton said her and her family are feeling “devastated”.

She added: “We have had Bisto for eight years.

“I have a 10-year-old autistic [child] and an 11-year-old at home plus three older children all of which as you can imagine are in bits.

“Though a family dog, Bisto was also an unofficial support animal who goes everywhere with us.

“We would do anything to have her back to us a soon as possible.”

Bisto is a brown collie and Alsatian cross with a white panel on her chest and a white smudge on the left side of her muzzle.

The man who took the dog has been described to have “rough hair” and walks “with a hump”.

In a desperate attempt to locate Bisto, the Ludgershall family have taken to social media to appeal for witnesses including those with dash cam footage.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We are investigating after a dog was reported stolen from a car that was parked outside Southampton City Library at the Civic Centre.

“This took place some time between 12pm and 12.30pm on 19 February.”

“It was reported that a man was seen walking the dog on a lead in the direction of Watts Park from the Civic Centre.

“Enquiries are on-going.”

Anyone with information or who saw a man acting suspiciously in the area at this time is asked to contact police on 101.
