ANOTHER two animals have been killed in road accidents in the New Forest.
A pregnant cow was badly injured on the B3078 at Homy Ridge and a yearling colt was hit by a vehicle in an area known as Slufters.
Both animals were humanely destroyed by agisters employed by the New Forest Verderers.
A pony was injured in Pitmore Lane, Sway, despite wearing one of the special collars which aim to make animals more visible at night by reflecting car headlights.
A Shetland pony was reported to have been hit by a vehicle at a set of crossroads on the B3054 at Norleywood, between Beaulieu and Lymington.
The Verderers say a search of the area was carried out but the animal could not be found.
