A NEW twenty four hour gym is set to open in Totton, potentially creating up to 25 jobs.

The Anytime Fitness gym will be located in Salisbury road in the former Countrywide store and it is due to open by the end of April.

The gym will be open all day, seven days a week, giving its members the convenience to work out, whenever it suits their lifestyle.

The news of the closure of Countrywide in Totton came after the firm went into administration last year.

Graham Mortimer, Anytime Fitness Club manager said: “We will strive to become the number one fitness club in the area.

“State-of-the-art strength training and cardiovascular equipment will be offered alongside a functional training zone, spin studio and main class studio.

“Certified personal trainers will also be available to help you energise your workout and challenge your limits.

“And best of all, when you join one club, you join them all, because your access key will give you access to any club worldwide.”

Anytime Fitness currently has 160 clubs in the UK and 4,000 worldwide.

In our area they have gyms in The Swan Centre in Eastleigh, Locks Heath Shopping Village in Fareham and they also have gyms in Jewry Street Winchester, Yeoman Road in Ringwood and Stoke Road in Gosport.

A spokesperson from Anytime Fitness said that the gyms “tend to create around 20-25 jobs for people in the local area.”
