A TEENAGER has denied the murder of a university lecturer.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in court today, where he denied the murder of Barry Hounsome.
The 54-year-old's body was found at his home at Southcroft Road, Gosport, on 29 October.
Mr Hounsome, who once worked as a lecturer at the University of Southampton, died from a head injury, a post-mortem examination revealed.
The 17-year-old, from Gosport, was remanded in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court for trial on May 1.
