A HAMPSHIRE man who stole a £500 mobile phone has been given a curfew.
Jamie Bell stole the phone from another man while in Fareham in February.
He also failed to provide police urine for a laboratory test after he was stopped by officers in Portsmouth on March 1.
Appearing at Portsmouth Crown Court, the 40-year-old, who pleaded guilty to theft and failure to provide a specimen, was banned from driving for 12 months.
Bell, of Celandine Avenue, Locks Heath, was also given a six month curfew, which will keep him in his home between 7pm and 7am.
He also also ordered to pay £500 compensation to the victim of the phone theft, an £85 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
