REGENTS Parks Community College triumphed on day three of Rock Challenge.
Students told the story of a car crash victim's successful heart transplant and how one family's grief led to another family's salvation.
The show, named Memories of the Heart, then explores how the transplant gives the receiver visions and flashbacks.
Robert May's School in Hook finished second with their show, 1 in 10, which touched on mental health issues and their impact on young people.
Hounsdown School in Totton finished third with Mother Earth, which centred around pollution in the ocean and natural disasters in the Pacific.
Six schools from across Hampshire competed on day three at Southampton Guildhall.
Other schools to perform on the day were Cantell School, who won an award for excellent conecpt.
Woodlands School also scooped an award for visual enhancement excellence, while Wyvern College picked up an award for excellence in lighting.
As well as the contest, audience members were treated to a premier showcase from Wildern School.
Rock Challenge continues today, on day four of the competition.
