A SOUTHAMPTON man has pleaded guilty to intimidating a witness.
Michael George Smith also admitted harassing the witness, who was helping police investigate an allegation of assault.
Southampton Crown Court heard how the 33-year-old repeatedly phoned the witness and threatened violence towards her and her property.
The calls took place between January 25 and January 31 and interfered with the investigation, the court was told.
Smith, of Stoneham Lane, Southampton, pleaded guilty to one charge of intimidating a witness and one count of harassment.
Smith, who was remanded in custody, will be sentenced on March 25.
