A HUNT has been launched to a hit and run driver after a school girl was seriously hurt in Southampton.
Emergency services rushed to High Road, Swaythling, after the 11-year-old girl was struck by a car.
The incident happened at 4.10pm and the girl, who has not been named, suffered serious injuries.

Hampshire Road Police Unit have launched a hunt for green Ford Mondeo involved in the accident.
Officers have issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident and have pleaded for drivers who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
The girl suffered a broken ankle and facial injuries in the incident
PC Matthew Willcocks, from our Joint Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for help to trace the driver of this car, which has been described as having no hubcaps.
“So if you were in this area yesterday afternoon and you think you may have seen a light green Mondeo please get in touch.
“We’re particularly keen to hear from any motorists or cyclists with dash cams or helmet cams, who were travelling in the area, as they may have captured something on their cameras.”
