AMONG the cases heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court were:
Tyler Stephen Powell, 21, of Sedbergh Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to smashing a mobile phone with intent to destroy or damage it. Discharged conditionally for six months. Victim surcharge £20.
Craig Peter Jenkins, 29, of Mayfield Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing a Versace Dylan Blue fragrance set valued at £70 belonging to John Lewis. Community order made including rehabilitation activity requirement. Compensation of £70. Costs £85.
James Anthony Allen, 35, of Chestnut Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to assault, and stealing ham, chicken and cheese valued at £30,67 from Lidl. Community order made including rehabilitation activity requirement. Compensation of £150. Costs £50.
Matthew Allan Wedgner, 42, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing meat valued at £23 from the Co-op. Jailed for four weeks. Victim surcharge £115.
Jordan Patricia Walters, 27, of Parkville Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and without a licence. Fined £800. Victim surcharge £50.
Peter Dennis Bennett, 24, of Carlsbourne Road, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth. Pleaded guilty to drug-driving in Cosham, driving without insurance and driving without a licence. Sentenced to two months in prison, suspended for 12 months, banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
Tony John Gallichan, 40, of The Quantocks, Dibden Purlieu. Pleaded guilty to damaging a window at Ladbrokes, Holbury, used threatening or abusive behaviour towards a police officer, and failed to appear in court. Given a community order, ordered to pay £250 compensation and £85 costs.
Peter Alan Harris, 59, of Meggeson Avenue, Southampton. Found guilty of breaching a suspended sentence and failing to appear in court, and pleaded guilty to a separate charge of failing to appear in court. Jailed for eight weeks.
Ross Kyle McFarlane, 32, of Twyford Road, Eastleigh. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating and damaging a door. Given a community order and ordered to pay a total of £250 compensation.
Rachael Louise Hollins, 44, of Lower Brownhill Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Given a community order, and ordered to pay £250 compensation and £85 costs.
Pawel Piotr Prochnicki, 28, of Denzil Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to failing to appear in court, and found guilty of dishonestly receiving stolen goods, namely a Ducati motorcycle, a Honda motorcycle, a Kawasaki motorcycle, a Yamaha motorcycle, a Cube bicycle and a Carrera bicycle. Ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work, pay a total of £500 compensation and £200 costs.
James Edward Cain, 26, of Seagarth Lane, Southampton. Admitted breaching a community order. Fined £550 and ordered to pay £60 costs.
Mark Kerry Hawksworth, 46, of Foundry Lane, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to speeding. Fined £70. Victim surcharge £30. Driving record endorsed with three points.
Nathan Thomas Edward James, 24, of Hurst Road, Ringwood. Found guilty of driving without insurance. Fined £276. Victim surcharge £30. Costs £620. Disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.
