WHY does nobody seem to respect that it's illegal to stop, park, wait or load/unload on a cycle path, unless they are doing infrastructure work or are an emergency personnel responding to an emergency?

As a cyclist, I have seen that this has really become a massive problem on the Marsh Lane cycle path where it crosses the entrance to the student accommodation. Most people know this but dare to call them out on it and many will become hostile, swearing at you till they're blue in the face to go around them or to get over it.

I have even had arguments with delivery drivers about this. I'm also a delivery driver myself and know that I am not to stop on cycle paths. However you ARE allowed to park on the double yellow lines for up to 20 minutes when loading/unloading from a commercial vehicle, so something needs to be done to stop people from parking illegally on cycle paths.
