I HAVE just read another letter from Mr Richard Grant pontificating once again ('It's not the Forest residents who are the problem', letters, March 13).
As someone who has lived near the New Forest National Park for over 50 years and has made frequent visits over that time for family days out, etc, I get fed up with being confronted by local resident busybodies who come up to us and tell us how to behave in the Forest, ie, "make sure you clear up when you leave" and lecture us on the protocol of the New Forest.
We have always respected the environment wherever we may be and because we do not actually live in the Forest, that does not mean that we are not aware of our surroundings and know how to behave.
Do not automatically assume that any wrong doing must have been done by someone residential outside the New Forest.
