POLICE have isseud a tough warning to anyone harbouring an on the robber missing in Southampton.

A manhunt has been launched for violent robber Lincoln McLean who has gon on the run.

Now officers have warned anyone sheltering the 28-year-old or is withholding where he is could face prosecution.

Police have issued an appeal to help track down missing Lincoln McLean.

But they have warned that he must not be approach.

He is wanted on recall to prison to complete a sentence for robbery after breaching the conditions of his licence.

A police spokesman said: "We have followed various lines of enquiry to locate McLean, but are now turning to the public for assistance."

McLean is described as black, 6ft 2ins tall and of medium build.

This description and the photo are from 2017, said police.

He is thought to be in the Southampton area.

The spokesman added: "Anyone found to be harbouring him to deliberately obstruct our attempts to locate him may be committing an offence and be liable for arrest themselves.

"Members of the public are warned not to attempt to approach him.

"If you see McLean, or know where he is, please call police immediately on 101, quoting 44180383684.

"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously."

Among McLean’s previous convictions include threatening to stab a man who was drawing money from a cash point unless he handed it over.

In a separate incident he also beat a man so badly in the Hare and Hounds pub in Southampton that his victim suffered two fractured cheekbones, two black eyes, a broken nose and eye socket.
