TWO people were cut from a car and taken to hospital following a crash on a busy Southampton road this morning.
The collision happened on Bassett Avenue, near the junction with Winchester Road, at about 8.58am today.
Emergency services were been called to the scene, including fire crews from Eastleigh and Redbridge.
The crash involved a black Mercedes and a Ford Transit van.
Both people in the Mercedes – the 57-year-old driver and and passenger in her 50s – were cut from their car and taken to hospital with neck and back injuries.
The driver of the Ford Transit van was uninjured.
