TRAINSPOTTERS were delighted today by an impromptu visit of the Flying Scotsman.
The famous locomotive, which was built in 1923, made a trip through the county as part of its trip from Southall WCR to Swanage.
It departed Southall WCR at 10.34am before heading through Twyford, Reading, Eastleigh, Southampton Central, and was due to travel through Wareham and Swanage.
Daily Echo Camera Club member Thomas Stuart Paul Crowther was on hand to capture the locomotive heading through Swaythling station.
