AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a man following a collision with a motorbike in Southampton.
Adam Wilcox died at Southampton General Hospital on March 8 after the crash the previous morning.
Police are appealing for information about the incident on Mansbridge Road, near the White Swan pub.
Pathologist Professor James Nicholl told the Winchester Coroner’s Court hearing the preliminary cause of death for Mr Wilcox, of Colehill Crescent, in Bournemouth, was a traumatic head injury caused by a road traffic collision. Senior coroner Grahame Short adjourned the inquest to August 28.
The collision involved a pedestrian – Mr Wilcox – and an orange, trail-style motorbike, the rider of which has not been identified.
