A LOCAL litter collector said he had picked up 400 “dog-ends” or cigarette filter tips on one trip.
The drainage here goes out to the ocean and into fish, not doing a great deal of damage.
I notice at specific bus stops the workers leave cigarette ends in a raised flower border at Romsey, possibly from a Braishfield bus, in a pile. It’s disgusting.
The law does indeed have an affect to protect the environment for all of our benefits and I notice at long last a no-smoking notice has appeared in a local bus shelter.
However, the perspex panel has been bashed in and so instead of Hampshire County Council using it for advertising, why not use it for a sensible reminder not to smoke, or leave your filter tips on the ground?
Better still, take them home with you or don’t smoke at all.
