When Keith Scarrott and Angie Walker tied the knot, their wedding looked quite different from most.
The couple were married at Holy Trinity Church, Millbrook Road, on July 28, 1979, surrounded by their Teddy Boy friends.
Keith, Angie and their guests had a great time at the reception in the Ashby Centre in Stratton Road, Shirley, where they danced the evening away to plenty of rock ’n’ roll.
Before leaving the church in their chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce, Keith and Angie shared their future plans. After their honeymoon in Wales: “We’re going to get rich,” he said
Keith who was a manual labourer, was also a popular disc jockey and was in great demand all over the south of England at the time.
