A DRIVER has been banned from the roads for three years following an offence committed in Southampton.
Neil Edward Dowell, 44, of Stoke Park Road, Bishopstoke, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.
As well as being banned he was handed a community order requiring him to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months.
Dowell also admitted failing to stop for police in East Park Terrace, Southampton, on the same day.
He was driving along when he was ordered to pull over by a police officer on traffic duty, the court heard.
Dowell was fined £150. He also had his driving record endorsed and was fined £85 with £85 costs.
