A 10-YEAR-OLD boy is fighting for life after being hit by a bus in Southampton
Police cordoned off a section of Aldermoor Road opposite the Premier store following the incident, which happened at 3.50pm on Tuesday.
Photos from the scene show officers inspecting the bus and a police car blocking the road.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "We have a small section of Aldermoor Road currently closed as we are dealing with a serious collision involving a pedestrian and a bus.
"The pedestrian, a 10-year-old boy, suffered serious life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.
"The incident took place at around 3.50pm this afternoon.
"Enquiries are ongoing at the scene."
Buses will not be using the bus stop on Aldermoor Road and will use an alternative route.
