THE bad news: Saints haven't beaten Liverpool in their last four attempts.
The good news: the last victory over the Merseyside team was pretty special.
The second leg of the league cup semi-final was held on January 25, 2017, and Saints were in pole position, having beaten Liverpool 1-0 in the first leg thanks to a Nathan Redmond goal.

Claude Puel's side held out for 90 minutes at Anfield before Shane Long raced free and smashed the ball past Loris Karius, sending Saints fans into raptures.
Unfortunately, Saints would narrowly lose out 3-2 to Manchester United in the final.
